Housing Assistance
Dallas HOPWA Housing Program offers Short-Term Emergency Rent, Mortgage, or Utility assistance for eligible persons with past due rent, mortgage, or utilities in emergency situations, subject to program limitations and requirements. Assistance is intended to prevent homelessness, and is limited to 21 weeks or dollar cap in any program year and requires the lease, mortgage, and or utilities to be in the applicants name. Permanent Housing Placement Assistance assists eligible persons with application fees, deposits, security deposits, and first months rent to move into identifiable housing (one time assistance).
Main requirements for HOPWA:

Must be low income; Single person income limit of $57,750
